Words cannot describe what an amazing stay this was. Ruzica and Ivo were incredible hosts, as soon as we arrived they greeted us with home made drinks and jam and even a bottle of wine! They were so friendly and helped us with many recommendations for our stay. The place itself is gorgeous, a beautiful spot with a wonderful terrace to catch sunrise and sunset over the ocean and the mountains! It was impeccably clean and had everything you could need. Throughout our stay we often came out to find fresh fruit from the garden on the table for us to enjoy, which was such a treat! We can’t recommend this place enough - thank you again Ruzica and Ivo ☺️

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was very spacious with lots of storage. Both the kitchen and the bathroom were very well stocked with all the essentials you might need (and more). The hosts Ruzica and Ivo live next door so are around if you need anything - Ruzica even offered us fresh towels and to change our bedding midway through our stay. On arrival we were greeted with freshly picked fruits and homemade liquors. And Ruzica even made me a cake when she learned it was my birthday. Ivo even took us up to Mount Srd one morning and showed us around the homeland war museum. As well as the main terrace which was a bit shady there was also a higher sunny outside table that could be used with even better views. The gardens were beautifully maintained with lovely flowers and fruit trees, made it a tranquil place to sit. All in all, we thought the place was great and the hosts went above and beyond what we’ve experienced in airbnbs before. It will be tough to beat! Thank you!

We received an exceptionally warm welcome from the owners. Their hospitality was exceptional. ( offered a change of bedding half way through the week) The accommodation was modern, spotless and very comfortable. Ample towels and bedding. Patio is a sun trap with good quality sun beds and chairs. Property is ideally located, 25 minutes to the old town, 25 minutes to the marina area both with loads of restaurant options. Supermarkets and bakeries within easy reach. Deserves 6/5

Fantastic out of town location. You can walk in or take the bus - number 8 goes every half hour and is free with the Dubrovnik pass (50 EU for 3 days) An 8 or 3 bus brings you back. Good local shops and pizzeria but lots of steps Dubrovnik is very hilly! Great views, lovely apartment. Easy check in. Ivan met us as we came off the Mljet ferry which was great. He also took us to the airport when we left and at no charge took us up Mount Srd. A really worthwhile experience. There's a very interesting museum about the siege of Dubrovnik - there are also museums in town that further illuminate the madness of the civil war. A wonderful four day stay.

Ivan was waiting for us from the ferry with a short steep drive to the apartment. Ruzica was there to greet us with homemade rakija and grapes/figs from the garden. The fridge had bread, butter, homemade fig jam, tea/coffee. The apartment is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. We had an evening flight and Ivan offered to store our luggage and take us to the airport (for a very fair price), picking us up from Cavtat. The hospitality given to us was second to none and I would 100% recommended staying at Apartment Ruzica❤️

John and Ruzica were wonderful hosts. Their apartment was spotless and exactly as described. They welcomed us with a cold beverage and even dropped off fresh fruit/vegetables from her garden during our stay. Air conditioning worked great, as we were there during a hot spell. The Old Town is walkable, but Uber was also a reasonable option. Caution…lots of stairs to climb/descend to get to Old Town, but completely doable. They recommended a pizza place nearby which was really good, and we passed some small stores/bakeries to stock up on food basics. Overall, an amazing stay! Highly recommend this apartment and the very kind hosts!!

Ruzica and her husband are superb hosts! The apartment is located on the slope of Gruž, so there are some stairs/upslope walking required but they offered to pick us and our luggage up from the ferry/bus terminal - 5 star service! The apartment was clean and spacious, with an amazing garden and patio, with gorgeous views of the sunset. Great for taking a nap or just relaxing outdoors. Walking to the old town takes ~15min downhill, if you don't want to walk back up from the old town you can take Bus 3 or 8 and get off at "Šumica"

Over 2 weeks, 3 countries and 6 cities, this place takes the cake for the BEST accommodation of our honeymoon trip. Ruzica and her husband (Igor, I think) went above and beyond with their brilliant hospitality. From picking us from the ferry port, welcoming us on the porch with homemade grappa and orange juice on a June afternoon, amazing apartment with great views and very considerate little touches like tampons and earbuds in the bathroom, breakfast items in the fridge... we could not have asked for a better stay to end our trip. The apartment has everything you need along with a lot of local guidebooks. They also tell you what address to input for Uber which drops you above the apartment so that you walk downhill. My recommendation is to walk down and get the buses 3 and 8 to go to town in the morning but get an Uber when coming back for the night if you can't be bothered to climb the hill back up. FYI No flexibility reg check in and checkout times so manage your flight well

I've rarely stayed anywhere so pritinely clean and well equipped. We had a really warm and friendly welcome from our hosts and they were on hand if we needed anything. We were ideally placed between the old town/ Stad and the harbour are but quite high up. We enjoyed the 15/20 minute walk there and back but people should be careful if they have issues with walking or going up and down starts since Dubrovnik is full of them!

Spotlessly clean apartment, well appointed kitchen, and bathroom with aircon for those warm nights. The villa is located on a hill so expect a few steps and walk from the old town. There’s a bus route 3 or 8 which takes you to the old town and other locations, Don’t use the bus app as it’s not updated, go to a bustop and take a picture of the routes and timetable. Just be prepared for rude inpatient bus drivers who appear to dislike tourists. The hosts Ružica and her husband go more than the extra mile to ensure your stay is memorable. Home made grappa, limoncello and cheese cake often found their way to our dining table, we were even chauffeured to the mountain top to take in the views and visit the war museum. If visiting old town I’d advise getting a 3/5 day pass, you pay to walk the walls which is roughly same price as the 3 day pass anyway, and you get free entrance to museums and free bus pass, it’s a no brainer as they say. Wonderful trip made more special by excellent hosts.

This is a terrific place. Great location on the hill with a fine view; very clean and well organized. But what really stood out to us was the family that run the apartment, Ruzica and her husband and son. She and her son welcomed us to the apartment with refreshments (including homemade liquors) and were absolutely responsive to every request and concern throughout our stay. We felt very comfortable, and even though the place is a bit of a climb to get to by foot (the downside of having a view) it was well worth it to be out of the hustle and bustle of old town.

Just read the past reviews……they sum it up so well. In years of using Airbnb, this is by far the best place we have ever been. We had such a nice, comfortable stay, we didn’t want to leave. The apartment was spotless and well stocked with all of the amenities, the views from the patio were gorgeous and the garden was lush. Die Gastfreundschaft der Co-Hosts, die im gleichen Haus wohnen ist unglaublich herausragend (und wir haben schon sehr viele airbnb Erfahrungen gesammelt). Angefangen bei der Begrüßung mit einer Auswahl von Likören über das Obst und den kleinen anderen Aufmerksamkeiten im Kühlschrank bis hin zu dem selbst gemachten Baklava. Dazu ist die Wohnung auch noch sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und die Terrasse ist ein Traum. Der Spaziergang runder in die Altstadt ist schön lauschig durch all die kleinen Gassen. Wir haben es sehr genossen uns am Abend von den Menschenmassen in der historischen Altstadt dort oben am Hügel zu erholen.

What a fantastic stay! Ružica and Ivo were incredible hosts. Ivo came to collect us from the bus station on our arrival in Dubrovnik and took us to the airport on our departure day. On arrival, Ružica was waiting for us with some gorgeous homemade limoncello and sherry, what a lovely touch! Ružica also made us some homemade cakes during our stay. The apartment was perfect, spotless and incredibly comfortable. It was approx half hour down steps and on the flat to the old town and an Uber was very easy and affordable to come back at the end of the day. The sunset from outside the apartment was stunning. This was a fabulous stay and the hosts were so very warm and welcoming. Thank you both so much for a fantastic holiday.

Ivan’s place was amazing. We were greeted with fresh fruit and drink from their garden in a beautiful stone patio setting with their whole family. The Airbnb is amazing with spacious rooms and views of the Adriatic. Everything you need was furnished including some homemade jams. The unit is 1 km from Old Town and very walkable. Ivan was quick to respond to any questions we had. When we left we knew we would be back again as I can only highly recommend them.

It’s very hard to to think of any more superlatives to describe this apartment! I stayed for three nights with my mother & everything was superb. Ruzica’s husband picked us up from the bus station & we had a lovely warm welcome with fruit & homemade wine. The apartment is immaculate & Ruzica has provided so many extra touches. Location wise it’s far enough away from the busy Old Town but easily accessible on foot (lots of steps so a reasonable level of mobility needed!) Ubers are easily available & cheap but don’t use ordinary taxis as they are extortionate! We walked back up several times as it’s good exercise.

Very welcoming hosts as we were greeted with home made liquor and fruit from the garden, as well as many recommendations on places to visit and restaurants. The place itself was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the time we spent there. Old town is a 30 minute walk down hill and Ubers were very cheap (€7) to get back up the hill in case you don’t want to brave the walk. We’d definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Comfortable stay, and would definitely return. Amazing location and the Uber service is amazing in Dubrovnik. Well worth the money. Only thing I might note to others planning on staying here is that the outdoor kitchen that is on the photos for this Airbnb isn’t something you are shown by the hosts or something that is mentioned when you arrive here (so it seemed kind of off limits). We were previously looking forward to using the outdoor kitchen, but for the price of the property we were happy without. We understood it said “outdoor kitchen available on request” but it didn’t seem the case so I think the pics should be removed from the listing though to stop confusion. The property and outdoor area itself is more than enough for the price anyway! 😊😊 Thanks so much to our lovely hosts for such a beautiful stay!

We had such a nice stay here! Our host Ruzica and her husband were lovely. Ruzica even gave us fresh fruit and vegetables from her garden and greeted us with drinks on our arrival. The property was very clean with plenty of essential supplies provided. The patio area is beautiful, especially at sunset! The walk to the old town is around half an hour and there is plenty to do there. There are quite a lot of steps to walk up on the way back but Ubers and buses are available if this is an issue. This place is magical! Such a private, peaceful spot with a patio overlooking the sea and gorgeous sunsets. Our hosts were so hospitable, leaving fresh tomatoes and apples for us as well as sharing homemade liqueurs. Yes it is on the top of hill with quite a few steps to get down to the old town and then back up, but the bus system is easy to navigate. A true gem of a place!

This has been the BEST Airbnb I've ever stayed in. Right upon arrival, our host greeted us with juice and homemade liquor! The apartment itself was SPOTLESS and the pull out sofa-bed was so comfortable. Our host made sure that we were comfortable and was always responsive-- she even helped us with the washer. You can tell the hosts really cared about us. The view here is GORGEOUS too-- can't beat it. It is a 20 minute walk to old town or simply a 7 euro uber. We enjoyed a very pleasant and peaceful stay at Apartment Ruzica. The home is light, bright and absolutely spotless. We were welcomed with homemade limoncello, liqueur, and provided with juice, fresh bread and butter, biscuits, tea and coffee. It was easy to use the bus and Uber to reach the old city and other areas of Dubrovnik, the courtyard and garden are very pretty, shaded and the parking space is a bonus. I wish we could have stayed for longer. The walk to Pile Gate is an easy downhill walk of 20-25 minutes. Ubers are about 6.50 EUR back to the apartment. Ruzika and her husband were kind, friendly and a good source of useful information about visiting Dubrovnik. We would be very happy to return again. Thank you Ruzika!

We highly recommend staying at this beautiful home the next time you’re in Dubrovnik. It is a warm and welcoming space with everything you need, and you’re not far from the main sights. The main draw is the fantastic hosts though. They are such thoughtful and kind people, bringing us welcome drinks on arrival, sending over homemade treats and helping us organise an airport drop off too! 루지카와 가족들이 체크인 시 매우 따뜻하게 맞아줬어요. 숙소 설명 뿐만 아니라 두브로브니크 설명까지 세심하게 해줬습니다. 집은 매우 깨끗하고 넓으며 필요한 모든것이 구비되어 있었습니다. 주변 동네는 매우 조용하고 깨끗합니다. 또한 전망이 매우 좋고, 주차공간 역시 넉넉했습니다. 루지카는 체크인부터 체크아웃까지 매우 편안하게 지낼 수 있도록 해줬어요. 다만, 루지카와 에어비앤비 채팅이 아니라 유럽채팅앱이나 문자등으로 따로 연락해야 합니다.

This was EASILY our favorite place we stayed in. Parking is free and well appreciated as it’s expensive to park in the city. As soon as the host family arrived we were immediately welcomed as if we were family reconnecting after many years. They were thrilled to sit down with us and tell us about the sights in Dubrovnik. We were also welcomed with homemade drinks the lady of the house made. The place has an absolutely INCREDIBLE patio area with the most spectacular views you’ve ever seen. The unit is spacious, clean as a whistle and has everything you’d want. Please please do yourself a favor and book this one if it’s available. You will NOT regret it! Thank you for a remarkable trip to Dubrovnik! It wouldn’t have been the same without you. P.S. Uber is dirt cheap so we Ubered back every night as the hills are insane!

Perfect all around. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Our host Ruzica was incredibly kind and forthcoming. Not only did they stay up until 2am (!!) to welcome us, they also were so lovely and brought us cake when they realised it was one of us's birthday. Just a sweetheart all over! Also, they offered to organise airport transfer for us, which we were glad to accept and went without a hitch (our driver didn't even mind our plane's delay and gave us lots of recommendations and explanations on the way to there. Thanks Pero!). The tidiness of the place was off-the-charts, it had all the amenities we could've needed, as well as any essentials necessary for cooking. The view of the sea is sort of indirect, but beautiful nonetheless. The flat is about a 30min walk from the Old Town, it's easily accessible by bus but we ended up mostly taking an Uber back up bc it was so cheap. Definitely would recommend and stay here again if we come back! Thank you for having us<3

From the moment we were wonderfully welcomed to the moment we were waved off by the warmest of hosts we had such a lovely stay. The place itself was spotless and in a location that worked well for exploring Dubrovnik whilst also providing solitude and beauty to retire to when we were tired from all the steps. I couldn't recommend the place enough in every way. My partner and I were really taken with Croatia and would like to return for longer; if we do return one day I'd love to stay here again.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich von der Gastgeberfamilie mit Getränken und Obst begrüßt. Die Wohnung war, wie dargestellt sehr schön ausgestattet, sehr sauber und komfortabel. Man war sehr behüht uns die Sehenswürdigkeiten Dubrovniks zu erläutern und alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Der Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück war besonders hilfreich, da in der Stadt erhebliche Parkgebühren verlangt werden. Für den Weg in die Altstadt sollte man gut zu Fuß sein, alternativ gibt es aber auch eine Busverbindung. Wir können dieses Quartier sehr empfehlen!

This was the best apartment that we stayed in! We had the warmest welcome from Ruzica and her son which made us feel right at home. Everything was perfectly clean and the apartment had everything you needed. The view from the patio was simply beautiful and you could sit there for hours in the shadow of the grape branches and enjoy the sunset. But what really made our stay there so good was Ruzica‘s hospitality. We would love to come back someday and stay a little longer next time.

Super vriendelijk ontvangst met een zelfgemaakte borrel. We voelden ons gelijk erg thuis. Het appartement was ruim, schoon en mooi ingericht. Tussendoor kregen we ook nog een schaal vijgen en een flesje cherry. Super lief! Wij zouden deze hosts en het appartement zeker aanraden. Fijn ook een privé parkeerplaats. Old town op +/- 30 minuten lopen, veel trappen, maar is zeker te doen! Dubrovnik is echt prachtig.

Soggiornare in questo splendido appartamento ha reso ancora più bella la nostra vacanza a Dubrovnik. L’appartamento era pulitissimo è dotato di tutti i comfort e il terrazzo un’oasi di pace rispetto al caos della città che si raggiunge facilmente a piedi in 20 min. Al ritorno se eravamo troppo stanchi utilizzavamo Uber. Ivan e la sua splendida moglie ci hanno accolto come se fossimo di famiglia: oltre a consigli utili sulla città ci hanno rifornito di frutta fresca direttamente dal loro giardino! Posso solo consigliarvi di soggiornare presso di loro!

The host and family were just so welcoming from the home made drink on arrival, to fresh vegetables Ruzica picked from her garden. The apartment is done to a very high standard and is spotlessly clean and tidy,everything worked from Wi-Fi to the washing machine. All in all a lovely place to stay.
