PROS -Fabulous terrace with sun protection -air con in all rooms -2 bathrooms -garage [parking difficult in the area] -direct access to the sea & outdoor shower -spacious, quiet, beautiful views -beach towels and some beach equipment provided -comfortable beds CONS [minor cons really] hardly any satellite/cable channels available not enough ceramic table ware, mostly plastic couldn't find the toaster [listed in description] WORTH NOTING -in the smaller bedroom there are now 2 proper single beds [older reviews suggested it wasn't the case] -there is a coffee machine [Nescafe Dolce Gusto] which our contact/Slavica didn't seem to know about -local shop is Studenac [chain], very little choice and very expensive but small bakery and fruit stall in Zaton Veleki, at least in high season -sea very deep next to the house but there is also a small beach with a gentle slope - beach shoes a must! On the whole, highly recommended. Would be perfect if there was a SUP available!

Slavica was an excellent host ...very responsive and quick to help with local recommendations. The location was perfect, with an exceptional view and easy access to swimming. Despite visiting in mid-August, it was peaceful and quiet, making it a truly relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

Lovely stay with absolutely stunning views! The house itself was great and had everything that we needed for our stay. (The only minor issue was that the one mattress in the main room was a bit on the squeaky side but I am a poor sleeper and as the room was so quiet, cool and dark, it didn’t keep me awake). The star of the show was the outside space. The terrace was large, the furniture comfortable and the view was just beautiful. It was great to be able to go through the house and straight into the water. We had as slight problem with the Wi-fi during our stay but the host was very responsive and sorted this out for us. The area is great. It was just a 15 min drive to Dubrovnik, we also visited a lovely arboretum (10 mins in the other direction) which was also location for filming of the Game of Thrones . Restaurants nearby were very good (we had great meals at Dandy, Vala and Capo - all walkable from the house). We would thoroughly recommend this stay!

Honestly a fantastic place to stay, everything we thought it looked in the photos! A few reviews said it was hard to find but in fact it was easy with the instructions and sat nav on with google maps. Local restaurants were absolutely spot on with fresh fish and friendly welcoming service. The bay the apartment sat in was beautiful and the upstairs seating balcony area was perfect for a morning coffee or evening drinks. With a 13 mins drive into Dubrovnik old town, I highly recommend this as the perfect location for family’s or a lads holiday or any kind of break! Honestly can’t say enough about this place, it was absolutely spot on!! Great host, early check in when requested, garage was a bonus to park the rented car in, just everything was perfect.

Great accommodation, 15 minutes away from old town. We really enjoyed our stay. The place is close to old town, without the crowds. We only used uber to move around, and it usually cost 10 euros. The house has everything needed to a great stay, with all amenities possible. Kitchen well equipped and the view was amazing. I really recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again in the future.

This place is charming. The views from the terrace are spectacular and the Zaton Bay is an oasis of tranquillity (at least in early October). Slavica and her team made us very welcome and we really appreciated their responsiveness. We had a little coffee pot accident and they were swift to react and put us at ease. The house itself has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. It's waterfront so you can jump straight into the water after morning coffee. Very recommended.

The house is modern, comfy and very clean. The location and views make it luxurious! Being able to take the 10 steps from the back door and be in the sea was wonderful, especially since this is not accessed by general public. After a swim or kayak trip, we could sit in the shared outside seating area or go up to the house’s large outdoor balcony. Will return here because of this! Local supermarket has the basics and a few walkable restaurants which were great. We didn’t have a car but taxi/ Ubers available. Do check when national holidays are. We didn’t know that all shuts down on 15th august - our first day and no supermarket open. Thankfully found a restaurant but not ideal if you have young children .

We loved our week in Zaton! The accommodation was perfect for us, yes the 2nd single bed is just a pull out but it was fine for the teenagers. We explored the bay via paddleboard and by foot. We used the local buses to visit Dubrovnik and it was easy. We loved watching the coming and going of the boats in the bay from the terrace each evening!

The spacious, well equipped apartment is set in an absolutely beautiful location on the shore of a sheltered bay. We swam daily in the crystal clear blue water and ate well at local restaurants- the fresh fish was delicious! We met the friendly owners of the adjacent apartments who told us of the house’s history as an olive mill. We had a lovely long walk by the shore , kayaked and went on a boat trip from the bay to visit and swim into the blue and green caves. There is a small but well stocked supermarket a short walk away. As there were four of us we began to use taxis for our forays into Dubrovnik Old Town as we didn’t seem to be lucky with the buses but there are stops within a short walking distance . Slavica, our host, was a great help and communicator. We loved our stay!

The accommodation was in the most beautiful location. Overall it was a wonderful stay, and the communication was excellent. Special mention to Luka next door for his hospitality also! A few things to mention - it was not really suitable for 4 adults (the second bedroom’s single beds (in particular the trundle) were very unsturdy and we had to drag mattresses onto the floor instead. Definitely didn’t feel luxury (apart from the location!), or newly renovated. Things like plastic plates to eat off, and many things not working as they should. Also if you’re wanting quiet/privacy, this may not be the place for you depending on who is staying next door - the shared area is not really usable when next door are using it. The deck upstairs however is amazing! This did not ruin our stay, but was a little disappointing considering the write up!

Die Wohnung hat uns super gefallen. Alles da, was man braucht. Ausreichend Platz. Ruhige Bucht, abseits des Touristenstromes. Man ist mit dem Auto in 10 min in Dubrovnik. (zu den Bussen kann ich leider nichts sagen) Guter Ausgangspunkt für Mostar, Montenegro und die Dörfer/ Kleinstädte in Dalmatien. Besonders hat uns die Terasse mit der wunderbaren Aussicht auf die Bucht und die Boote gefallen, die Nähe zum Meer und das aufwachen mit Meeresrauschen.

Das kleine Haus ist genial, vor allem die Dachterrasse und der direkte Zugang zur Adria von der unteren Terrasse aus. Das Wasser ist super sauber. Die Ausstattung ist perfekt. Es mangelt an nichts. Die indirekte Beleuchtung der Dachterrasse ist genial. Mit dem Ueber kommt man in 15 Minuten nach Dubrovnic - wir haben nie länger als 5 Minuten gewartet. Für uns war es der perfekte Aufenthalt für einen Kurzurlaub.

The place was exactly as described. Loved being able to step straight into the sea from the back door and the private balcony upstairs. One thing to note is that we went in October and all the restaurants/cafes in Zaton were closed for the season. Unfortunately for us the neighbour was doing renovations so there was banging and drilling until 9pm some nights which ruined the peacefulness.

This apartment is beautiful. The direct access to the water and the sun terrace make this place very special. Zaton Mali is very quiet. This suited us as we had stayed in the old town for a few nights first and we also had rented a car to explore the area for our last few days. The horseshoe bay itself is very quiet and safe to walk around. There are two restaurants here. Konoba Vala was great. If you wish to walk to a shop or other restaurants you must walk to the main road. This road is very busy and there are no footpaths for the most part. Setting and location of apartment is second to none, however, local area may be too quiet for many. Apartment was spotless, WiFi and air con were excellent although WiFi does not work on sun terrace. Kitchen, bathroom and living facilities great. A very special place

We had a lovely week in Zaton and it was a great base to explore Dubrovnik and the surrounding areas. The accommodation was excellent and well maintained with perfect access to the sea for paddle boarding or kayaking. The views of the bay were amazing from the private balcony and great restaurants only a 10 minute walk away around the bay. Looking forward to coming back one day!

We have had an amazing holiday here. The location is superb. We love swimming and the appartment was perfect for this. The appartment was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. ‘Vala’ is a beautiful home in a lovely quiet location. Everything in the house was perfect and being able to step straight into the sea was amazing. Zaton is a small bay, just within commute from Dubrovnik. Thank God for Uber as taxi prices are extortionate -70€ return. Dubrovnik is not cheap but quality of food is amazing. Glad we went in June as the heat was becoming extreme into start of July.

As others have said the photos don't really do the apartment justice. The views from the terrace, the beautiful water teeming with fish right on our doorstep, all stunning. All the locals were so friendly. We bought the 3 day Debrovnik pass before we went which saves lots of money if you want to walk the city walls and really explore the old town. I also recommend Ston and the stunning beaches nearby. But my must do whilst here is to visit Lokrum, an island paradise which is a 10 minute boat ride from Debrovnik. We will definitely be back.

It was a very pleasant stay at the beatiful Coast of Zaton. If you Like It more quiet and private ist's the perfect place for you. You get the keys out of the keybox at the door. They send you the Code beforehand and ASK about your arrival time. If you Wish Slavica even organises the airport transfer for you so You can lay Back and relax. You can enjoy the water directly in the House. The neighbours are very nice and give you a Lot of tipps, so does Slavica. Dubrovnik City ist Just a 10€ drive per taxi, or you can Take the Bus on the Mainstreet 5 minute Walk to the left. We enjoyed our one week stay to the fullest. Thank you.

We had a fantastic stay at Slavica's apartment. The apartment is lovely, and the views from the terrace are stunning, we enjoyed watching all the activity on the water and even went in for a swim, pretty cold in early May. We also saw dolphins in the bay on a couple of mornings. There are some good restaurants within easy walking distance. We drove into Dubrovnik, parking near the marina and walked to the old town, but there are regular buses as well. We also drove to Montenegro and Bosnia for a couple of day trips. Well worth it. The apartment was really well equipped, and in our view has the best terrace in Zaton Bay. We will be back.

Slavica's apartment was perfect! Situated just a 10 minute north drive of Old Town Dubrovnik in a private sea side village called Zaton Mali. The garage was a life saver for parking our rental car. We really enjoyed the heated floors throughout every room in the flat. Both bathrooms were spotless and well designed. The kitchen was modern and the oven worked great for warming up our left overs. The highlight of our stay was the large private balcony/terrace with 360 degree views of the Zaton Bay. We visited as a couple but it would also be a an amazing place to stay with children. The water is turquoise blue and calm enough to swim in for all ages. Check in and check out could not have been simpler. Slavica is a wonderful host and I could not recommend this place more. The only thing I would do different next time is stay longer! For day trips visit Ston, Mljet National Park, Neum Beach, and Mostar (Bosnia). Thanks Slavica and Ivan for everything! You guys rock!

Au village le supermarché est à 8OOm, l'arret de bus pour la gare centrale de Dubrovnik à 700m, les restaurants sont à la meme distance avec une belle promenade en bord de mer. Nous avons séjourné hors saison le 18 octobre donc malheureusement sur Zaton il n'en restait qu'un d'ouvert mais tres bon. Fabulous views of the sea from the terrace is a highlight of the property. It is a luxury to hear waved lashing at ur doorstep. The property is located in Zaton village which is 20 min drive from Dubrovnic old town. However let that not put you off as its a wonderful villa. The owners live around which is handy and they are very friendly. Kitchen, bathrooms are well equipped. There is a supermarket nearby for essentials. Wifi is great. If u are in for a relaxing time with family then look no further. Checkin and checkout was easy. Highly recommend
