The apartment was incredible, in an excellent location and within a lovely building. It was just a few minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. Our room was super comfy and very clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful too!

I can’t recommend Rooms Karla highly enough. We were only able to book a budget room but I would not have swapped it to stay anywhere else. We did see the other rooms and they were lovely, spacious and very well equipped. The location just outside Polace is perfect and there was nothing we did not like. The best thing about this accommodation is the owner Ane. She is so welcoming and helpful. Nothing was any trouble. She allowed us to book in early (we arrived on the 11.15am ferry) and check out late. Also brought us delicious fresh figs from the garden and when I left my sunglasses behind she dropped them to the port. We absolutely loved Mljet. It is a very special place. Don’t miss going down to Konoba Gundaliste across the road. It has the most magical setting (keep going past the patio that looks like someone’s house) and genuinely the best fish platter I have tasted. We regretted going somewhere else on our second night and went back for lunch before leaving. My husband said his steak was one of the best he has had. We hired bikes from MedSailor near the supermarket (cheapest at €35 for 6 hours) to go to the national park which was amazing and then hired a car from Mljet cars. Picked up in Polace and returned to Pomena before the ferry, which allowed us to explore the whole island including Odysseus Cave which is a must do. We travel everywhere but Mljet now has our hearts and we will definitely stay in Rooms Karla again. .

J’ai mis 4 étoiles sur 5 car il est situé en 2e ligne par rapport à la mer. L’accueil était exceptionnellement chaleureux, avec une famille prévenante, souriante. La maîtresse de maison, prête à parler, m’a proposé de faire un tour en voiture avec elle, offert des petits pâtés chauds … Une grande terrasse à disposition. Bref, pas le genre de location avec boîte à clés !

Grande chambre située à Pomena avec une terrasse très agréable. Il y avait des petits travaux d’extérieur en cours pour des embellissements quand j’y étais. Les lieux étaient très propres, il y a une petite cuisine attenante que l’on peut utiliser. Mention spéciale aux propriétaires qui ont été charmants et m’ont rendu un grand service, merci pour tout!

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel dans cette charmante maison : à l'extrémité du village de Polace, en pleine nature, juste au pied d'une plage charmantissime ! Nous étions également à 50 m du départ des randonnées vers les lacs du Parc Naturel. Les chambres sont meublées simplement mais efficacement. Une kitchenette partagée (dans les faits nous étions seuls à nous en servir) nous a bien rendu service pour la préparation des piques-niques et des repas. Plusieurs terrasses sont à notre disposition, nous permettant de profiter de ce lieu magique. Notre hôtesse est d'une gentillesse extraordinaire : elle nous a offert des crêpes et des orangettes maisons et s'est enquis de nous tout au long de notre séjour. Nous recommandons complètement !

Väldigt mysigt läge i en lugn dela av ön, samtidigt som det fanns flertalet restauranger att välja bland på kvällarna. Familjen som hade hand om boendet var supertrevlig och hjälpsam. En kväll blev vi bjudna på pannkakor utan att vi hade bett om det. Vi kände oss väldigt välkomna av den omtänksamma familjen som hade hand om boendet! De var dock inte det minsta påträngande utan lät oss ha vår semester på egen hand. Perfekt kombination av gemytlighet och professionalism. En mycket vacker ö med väldigt bra möjligheter för bad och snorkling.

The view from the balcony (see photo), like the whole island, is serene and so beautiful it is Heaven on Earth. It is a minute walk to the sea so you can take many quick dips. Dragonflies and butterflies are in abundance. The Aleppo pines are full of cicadas. The restaurant is also a minute away. You see the vines growing from your room and can drink the homemade wine at the restaurant; you see fig trees and can have fig jam with your breakfast; the salad seemed homegrown too. The staff are all really friendly and go out of their way to answer any questions that you might have. They go above and beyond to ensure that you have a wonderful stay. The location is great! There are more restaurants, if you want them, about 5 minutes walk away and you pass Roman ruins on the way. It is a moderately easy walk to the inland lakes (about 35 minutes walk on a hilly path through the woods) where the water is even warmer for swimming. If you like walking (or cycling) there are lots of different paths and tracks signposted, from 2-14 km. There is an excellent local taxi service to get you from the port, or to take you anywhere else on the island.

J'ai été pour 02 nuits avec ma soeur cette partie de l'ile est juste magnifique. On a été agréablement surpris en découvrant qu'on avait une chambre avec terrasse alors qu'on en avait booké une sans. Karla est une personne gentille, présente et serviable. On devait prendre un Ferry de Sobra à 6h du matin , on lui a demandé si avait un contact d'un taxi pour y aller . Elle nous a gentiment conseillé de prendre un bus qui s'aligne aux horaires du Ferry .

Karla was amazing, she went the extra mile over and over again to make sure our stay was perfect. She was one of best host I have ever meet, in my over 10 years travelling around the world. She was truly caring and helpful. Location was great, specially for us visiting Mljet National Park. Karla also gave us good tips to go and move around, really appreciate it. Room was perfect, spacious, everything very clean and newly renovated. Plus the kitchen, perfect to cook an evening meal, and enjoy it in the terrace. Also there's a private beach, which is pretty quiet and we enjoyed our last day before getting the ferry. Karla was also really flexible with our check in and out. Plus the place is pet friendly, nothing not to like :)
