This unique Mediterranean holiday house presents elegance, comfort, a unique experience of Croatian islands leaving no room for unfulfilled desires.

The Villa Lanterna lighthouse was originally built in 1881 in the south-eastern part of the island of Vir during the Austro-Hungarian rule and is an official culture monument of zero category. The lighthouse building is made of stone and located in a remote area of untouched nature, surrounded by hectares of pine forests, on an extremely attractive rocky and sandy beach suitable for families with children. The interior and exterior have been completely renovated in 2012 in a mix of traditional Mediterranean and modern style, equipped with luxurious wooden furniture and leather furnishings. It is categorized as a 5 star holiday home and is intended for accommodation for up to 8 people. The villa is spread over two floors with a total surface area of 180 m². On the upper floor there are four bedrooms, two of which are 21 m², the third is 17 m² and the fourth is 14 m².

The bedrooms are furnished with double beds, a bathroom with a bathtub, an air conditioning and an LCD TV with satellite channels. In addition, the two larger bedrooms have access to the balcony surrounding the lighthouse tower and offering an unforgettable panoramic view over the sea and sunset.

The common rooms of the house are located on the ground floor where the kitchen is equipped with a filter coffee machine, an espresso machine, a microwave oven, an electric water cooker, a toaster, a fridge with a freezer, a stove with electric and gas cooker, oven and dishwasher. Furthermore, there is a dining room with a mini-bar and a wine cellar, a living room with 130 cm LCD TV with satellite channels, and a practical bathroom with a washing machine and a drier. All rooms and areas in the house are air-conditioned. Wireless internet and a safe are available.

The lighthouse estate is surrounded by a stone wall and pine forest. Within this pleasant surrounding there is a mini wellness equipped with a hydro-massage bathtub, a sauna, multifunctional exercise equipment and a shower. In the Mediterranean garden there is a sunbathing area, a space furnished with a table and chairs and a covered outdoor grill. Along with accommodation, a covered beach with deck chairs and mini wellness, the following services are included in the basic price:

• breakfast is served every morning (according to guests wishes)
• change of bed linen and towels, housekeeper's cleaning every day (according to guests wishes)
• transfer from and to Zadar Airport or from and to the Zadar Ferry Port (eight people in two vehicles   of higher category or one higher-category mini-van)
• baby cot and baby chair
• 8 bicycles for adults
• sojourn tax

At an additional cost we offer the following services upon request / with prior notice:

• Catering / delivering specialities from the renowned Kotarina restaurant in the center of the island of Vir (08: 00h - 24: 00h)
• Personal chef for preparing meals and chosen specialties
• Masseur (partial massage or whole-body massage)
• Diving centre - diving accompanied by expert diving instructor
• Rent a speed-boat for eight people with a possibility to explore Zadar's aqua maritime with or without a skipper
• Excursion program

Villa Lanterna is located about 8 km from the center of Vir, offering various entertainment activities and programs for adults and children throughout the year and numerous gastronomic specialties in local restaurants.

The island of Vir is connected to the mainland by the bridge that facilitates traffic and offers additional features due close to the island of Vir are some of the most interesting natural and historical sights that should definitely be visited. We recommend visiting Zadar and Nin towns near the island of Vir and exploring their history, architecture, museums, traditions and festivals. In addition, we recommend visiting national parks - Plitvice Lakes (distance 150 km), the Krka (distance 70 km), Paklenica (distance 60 km) and Kornati islands, which are also close to the island of Vir.
